A spot where the lunch crowds tend to flock is NOTA, one of the latest additions in Kota Kemuning, serving contemporary brunch by day and hearty plates & steaks by night.
First Impression
Adorned with floor to ceiling windows, solid wooden furnishings, neutral-hued decor, and a thoughtfully chosen colour scheme, the environment at NOTA is designed to evoke the sense of comfort at home – shouting loud and proud: “where home is a feeling”.
Top Tip: NOTA’s ambiance undergoes a notable morning to night transformation, switching to mood-lighting at night and providing different experiences for guests when they dine for lunch and dinner.

Taking cafe food into their own hands (literally making from scratch), there are plenty of reasons to pay this spot a visit: from their 8-hour simmered lobster broth Seafood Risotto to more inventive brunch must-eats like the Mentaiko Pasta. Another notable point is that NOTA’s kitchen is centred around charcoal and wood-fire cooking, so expect Steaks, Rotisseries and other smoky meats and seafood.

No meal is complete without coffee at a cafe. NOTA ups the ante by providing two coffee bean options: daily dose (serving medium-dark roast profiles; caramel, nutty and chocolatey) and seasonal beans (light-medium roast profiles; winey, floral and fruity).

Gardenage
Originally a plant nursery during COVID-19 quarantine period, Gardenage has shifted gears and focused on their cafe business. And they serve really good food!
First Impression
Wait, this is a cafe? For a moment, we could not locate the entrance! The entrance is concealed behind a lush green curtain, truly a cafe hidden at the heart of Kota Kemuning. Gardenage’s environment is simple - a green symphony where beautiful plant species are put together in perfect harmony, offering a relaxing backdrop for all who enters and dines.

This cozy little cafe in Aranda has all the ingredients of a stellar cafe, their pastas are always on point, a delicious menu of hearty and breakfast options, and decadent dessert selections. Think Smoked Duck Carbonara, Roasted Chicken Quarters and Miso Cauliflower for sharing at the table. Our verdict: we will always be coming back for their miso cauliflower that has our hearts.

Bimba II
Bimba II, which is situated in Bandar Rimbayu, is a short distance away from Kota Kemuning. However, we could not pass up the opportunity to include this lovely pet-friendly cafe in this list!
First Impression
Intrigued by the eye-catching bright orange door, Bimba II’s interior is equally, if not, more inviting and captivating. As a seasoned cafe hopper, you may have heard of their first branch in SS2. With a slightly different vibe from their first branch, Bimba II adds contemporary flair with effortless modernity into its ambiance, creating an intimate but comfortable environment for a casual, fuss-free dining experience.

There’s a lot to like about Bimba – they’re a pet-friendly concept, they still do quality food despite that, and their hosts are friendly! Signature dishes such as their Nasi Lemak Curry Mutton, Linguine Chicken Bolognese and Squid Ink Salmon Pasta are just some of the crowd’s favourites. What’s worth mentioning is also their promotions for lunch and tea breaks that are too good to resist! Perfect for a sundate with your paw-friends, tea-spilling session with friends or a quick cafe getaway with your colleagues during lunch break.
They will be opening their third branch soon in Klang, so be sure to pay them a visit then!

One of the most storied cafes in Kota Kemuning, Brew & Bread is an institution, an unassuming giant in the township – simply one of the best for coffee and top lunch spots.

Crowned as the pioneer of cafe culture in Kota Kemuning, next on the list is Brew & Bread! As you step into Brew & Bread, you're immediately embraced by the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and greeted by the vast variety of pastry and cakes selections. The dark palette of the interior adds drama and contrast to the food on display, making the space feel bold and edgy.

Brew & Bread really delivers the goods when it comes to coffee in Kota Kemuning. They roast their own coffee beans in-house, which includes their driver (custom blend) and cleanser (single-origin specialty) beans, where each bean provides different taste profiles. In addition to their classic coffee offerings, Brew & Bread is known for supplying their whole beans and their drip bag coffee, providing a range of dark roast beans that have different tasting profiles.
Having a selection for classic cafe food, they serve brunch, pastas, rice and sides. Some of our favourites worth mentioning are the Pesto Pasta, Dried Shrimp Eggplant Hummus and Avo Mango Potato Bowl. We loved the pairing of hummus and dried shrimp, they go especially well with their crispy croissant!

For cafe-goers who love a minimalistic and chic environment, try out Sen Cafe! Being the only cafe on this list that has outdoor seating, this is a bonus for cafe hoppers who also happen to be sun seekers and outdoor enthusiasts!

Serving simple and no-fuss food, Sen Cafe is one of Kota Kemuning working bee’s go-to lunch spots, and for families to spend their weekends together. Their modern design paired with natural light is an inviting space for friends to gather and sip their coffee away. We ordered their Korean Chicken Sandwich, and would like to try out their pastas and rice dishes next time!
